Improv and Acting Camp Information
Attention Young Actors!!! Why lay around bored all summer when you can be ACTING, PLAYING, IMAGINING, CREATING, and HAVING FUN with FRIENDS???? Come act with us June 5 – 16 and July 24 – August 4 as we practice some of the most fun, funny, and fantastic acting games and scenes you’ve ever seen. Each session is from Monday thru Friday from 9 am to 12 pm. Each week may be attended individually; it is not necessary to attend the June session to be successful in the July session. Attending all sessions is highly recommended to help build upon skills learned in the previous week. Material is never repeated, so the actor will have a unique experience all summer long. All levels of talent are welcome to this universally inclusive environment.
House Party Improvisation: Anything can happen when you create the story yourself!

Join us from June 5 – 9 and/or July 24 – 28 as we learn the art of improvisation. We will be practicing 4 exciting games, each challenging character voices, quick thinking, audience awareness, and teamwork. Our actors and actresses will learn to listen as attentive audience members, give growth feedback to one another in a constructive and empowering way, and develop self-confidence as they perform in front of one another. Each camp will offer a new and unique set of improv games.
Short Scenes for Actors of All Ages - Improvisation helps build complex characters in this week of ActingScenes.
The weeks of June 12 – 16 and July 31 – August 4 will feature character building skills including voice, gesture, movement, reaction, and script analysis. Young actors will be placed into a team after an introductory audition on day 1. These teams, roles, and responsibilities will all be catered to the individual student. Each team will contain a mix of skill levels to help develop all students both as actors and coaches. Each acting team will then stage their unique scene, develop robust characters, and practice a dynamic performance which will be presented to an audience of family and friends on June 16 & August 4. Students will provide regular feedback to one another, learning communication and teamwork along with self-expression and confidence. Come act with us, the stage is waiting for you!
